Part of The Virginia Beer Co.'s Experimental India Pale Ale series. Hemispheres was created in the spirit of the New England Style IPA's that became a staple of our ever-expanding small batch Workshop Series rotation in 2016.
Hemispheres was brewed with a local yeast strain procured from nearby RVA Yeast Labs. This IPA features copious additions of Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, and Amarillo hops in the whirlpool. A dash of sweet orange peel was added post-whirlpool to complement the natural citrus + sweet flavors of the hops. Then dry-hopped at more than 3 LBS. PER BBL with Galaxy + Amarillo, the result is a full-bodied, clean finishing offering with a moderate bitterness and medium haze.
