We couldn't think of a better recipe with which to raise a round to one of our favorite regulars, conversationalists, big beer lovers, and Vets — Don Tillar!

Colonel Tillar is a 1959 West Point grad who competed in both lacrosse and football (part of two national lacrosse championships for Army and he received the Schmeisser Award as the nation's top defenseman). In addition, both he and members of his family have storied military careers.

Don’s a daily visitor -- arriving at open (ie, TILLAR TIME) and always seeking out the highest octane brew we have on tap. We couldn’t ask for a better addition to our day or our Full-Time Friends Social Club. This robust and smooth Barleywine was finished with rich Maple Syrup and sweet Vanilla Beans -- and it clocks in at 11% abv -- sure to make it a winner in Don's book.

We raise a round to all Veterans, and we’re lucky to share one with Don almost every day. Not all heroes wear capes — but this one drinks Virginia beer. Thank you, Don, for your service and support!
