Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: dark amber-red hue with a little bit of haze and a finger of frothy light-tan foam atop.
Smell: relatively sweet with a true-to-style caramelly, bready malt aroma. Not bad.
Taste: bready, caramelly, and a little bit biscuity. The malt is a little sweet for me and I’m not a huge fan of the biscuity character, but still a decent Irish red.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not too bad … maybe not the best red ale out there, but totally decent.
