Poured from a can picked up at the brewery into a dimpled mug. This is billed as a "session hazy IPA".
Appearance: light yellow hue with a little dash of haze and a thin finger of off-white foam atop. I mean, it's a nice looking beer, but I don't think I'd go so far as to call it "hazy".
Smell: a little bit of grainy malt with a dose of slightly grassy, slightly lemony, kind of juicy hops. It's actually quite nice, though I'd more likely call this a nice pale ale than a "session hazy IPA".
Taste: grainy, toasty malt, with more of those subtle but enjoyable, slightly springlike, hop flavors. Maybe not what I think of in the style, but a nice beer.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this is a nicely refreshing and subtle summertime beer. I'm enjoying it -- but a hazy IPA it is not.
