Can purchased less than 2 weeks prior, poured into a snifter.
Look: opaque milky appearance which fits in with the name after all.
Smell: kind of muted, I pick up some tangerine. Seems like this will be more sour than expected.
Taste/Feel: and yes this is certainly a sour IPA. Sharp fruit flavor (tangerine/grapefruit) up front followed by the lactose feel on the back end. Not much carbonation here.
Overall: Decent effort, not the greatest IPA but I have had much worse failures in the lactose IPA realm.

On-tap 3/25/2017 at the brewery in Providence, RI, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a cloudy yellowish gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains floral hops, fruity citrus, some passion fruit and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out with sweet flavors of citrus and passion fruit that are quickly followed by a mild bite of tartness. Then a strong floral hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly tart and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good subtle variation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.

Served in a tulip at the brewery. Poured a hazy orange hue with only a skim of foam that quickly disperses into a tight band around the edges. Clarity is almost milky. Nose is very subdued - just the merest hint of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste opens up things up - citrus and mango and muddle nicely in the flavor profile. Lactose makes an appearance but is not readily evident. You almost need to know it's there to recognize the character. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body. Carbonation is subdued and the oats add a nice creamy character to the texture. Overall, a decent offering. I was expecting something closer to a Tired Hands milkshake IPA. Good, but It didn't come together for me.
