Triple barrel imperial stout aged in bourbon, apple brandy + vanilla bourbon barrels, then aged on roasted almonds + toasted coconut.

7oz draft pour in a stem. Pours one shade shy of black with a tight band around the shoulders. Nose is fairly subdued - just the merest hints of dark chocolate and ethanol. Taste is interesting - chocolate comes off sweeter than suggested. I wouldn’t guess apple brandy barrels if it wasn’t in the description; however, there is a slight quality at the finish, as well as notes of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium-light in body with a slightly assertive carbonation for the style. Overall, this beer was excellent when it first came out. It is till lovely, but has dropped off with time.
