Really enjoyed this and completely agree with Damian's experience on the Look and Taste categories, but fortunately, my bottle didn't appear to be infected so I wanted to add some notes to that effect (but respectably I don't think I can get into the artful level of detail he consistently is able to achieve, for which he should be commended...!).
Taste - really nice and smooth, the hazlenuts and vanilla came through well and probably overshadowed the cacao which might have been intended to be in the background anyway. The bourbon was rather muted but there as well. I would have like a little more of that.
Feel - Medium to medium thick, but there was something weird in there that I couldn't quite nail. I'm going to finish the other half tonight and see if I can nail it down. Almost reminded me of drinking a bottled Tree House stout, but not at that level of thickness - I think hazelnuts and vanilla may have manifested some level of milkiness resulting in a lactose feel which I rather enjoyed.
Overall - Other than the stressful 5 minute workout that it took to pry through that beautiful thick pink waxing job to prepare the bottle cap for popping open...I really enjoyed it!

Drank from a 500 ml pink wax dipped bottle purchased at Long Live Beerworks, Providence, RI
Served in a tulip
Gorgeous label. This combined with the pink wax neck made for a very attractive looking bottle. As for the beer itself, it poured a fuller bodied, near pitch black. The dense, oily looking body was topped by a cap of larger sized, saddle brown bubbles that quickly broke apart. A frothy collar encircled the liquid, but this too was short lived.
The aroma was pretty muted initially. Malty and slightly sweet with a subtle vegetal quality. After a few minutes, the hazelnut appeared and soon became rather prominent. Later, some powdered cocoa was also noticeable. Good dose of boozy bourbon as well. Sweet brown sugar notes were also apparent. Really solid overall. Later, a hint of oxidation came forth.
The flavor profile definitely displayed some indications of infection. Malty up front but also somewhat tart and astringent. Moderately roasty. Boozy bourbon notes appeared as the beer moved along the palate. Touch of cocoa powder in the center. More sourness too. The roast and booze intensified on the back end and in the finish. Hint of oxidation. Touch of lingering char and bitterness after the swallow.
The mouthfeel also felt slightly “off.” The liquid was thinner in body and highly effervescent. A fine, aggressive carbonation gave the beer a prickliness on the palate. On the second pour, the carbonation settled down but the beer was still rather thin and boozy.
Barrel-aged Friendsgiving might have been great without the infection, but I had a difficult time seeing past it. Although the aroma was still great, both the the flavor profile and the mouthfeel really seemed to suffer from this.
