Served in a stem. Pours an inky black with no head. Nose is primary char, roast and dark espresso. There’s also a hint of the barrel hidden in the background. There’s a big hit of maple syrup in the flavor profile that really diminishes the coffee character. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a still carbonation and an oiliness to the texture. Overall, tasty - however, really not that much complexity. Just a lot of adjuncts.

Look - Black thick syrup with slight rimming and lacing
Smell - burnt coffee and maple
Taste - coffee maple toasted malts and green pepper
Feel - medium full creamy light carb
Overall - if that burnt coffee and green pepper were gone this would be better but those really knocked it down
