Copenhagen 13/9 2023. 47,3 clean from Best of Beers web-shop. Black can with three golden swords and a flaming bonfire.
Pours opaque hazy yellow with amid.sized white head. Settles as thin but frothy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, fermented odor of ripe stone fruit mingling with fruit saturated in alcohol and a sharp citric bitter scent. Mango, passionfruit. Fermentation. Whiff of boozy sweet fruit wine. Grapefruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Boozy streak. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and laden with alcohol.
Potent and rich DIPA with raw edge of alcohol.
