10oz. Draft served in a flute. Pours one shade shy of black with no head, just a thin tight band around the shoulders that quickly dissipates. Nose expresses a big hit of peanut butter upfront with a hint of spirits in the background. Taste follows nose - just a hint of of the apple brandy barrel and notes of vanilla in the flavor profile. Finishes with some some indistinguishable ethanol notes at the finish that slightly cuts the sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium in body with a still carbonation and an oiliness to the texture. All and all, a top notch pastry stout. Probably one of my favorites from this brewer. I wish some more of the barrel notes came out; however. Perhaps with time.
