Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon and Apple Brandy Barrels. Conditioned on coffee beans, hazelnuts, vanilla beans, toasted coconut, marshmallows and cacao nibs.

500ml wax capped bottle served in a Spiegelau tulip at 50 degrees. Pours an inky black with a loose, mocha-colored head that quickly disperses into a thin, tight band around the shoulders. Nose is decadent - rich chocolate, marshmallow and hints of vanilla. Taste follows nose with a hit of ethanol in the mix, as well as hazelnut. Mouthfeel is medium in body with a silky/oily mouthfeel and a carbonation level just shy of dull. There’s also a residual ethanol burn that lingers between quaffs. Overall, tasty and decadent; however, I don’t get much of the barrel over the adjuncts. Wish these would come in a smaller format since it is so rich.
