Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a mug. The appearance was ruddy burnt copper almost brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Wandering messy lace. The aroma had some sweet nutty malts playing with some toast, toffee, bread and caramel. Mild earthy hoppiness ever so slightly at the end. The flavor leaned towards the sweet nutty portion flowing nicely into the aftertaste and riding into the finish. The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt good and proportionate to the carbonation. Smooth yet some roasty harshness. Overall, good English brown ale worthy of having again.

From the 16 oz. bottle. Sampled on December 25, 2016.
It pours brown straight up with a small tan head that fads to a ring quickly.
The aroma has a lot of sweet malt and toasted bread character along with caramel, toffee, and nuts. Almost no hops on the nose.
Light to medium body.
The taste is very sweet and caramel like for sure. Sweetness abounds. Toffee and yeast notes too. There is a moderate bitterness at the end.

Taster at the source.
Deep brown color with a smallish off white head.
Rich chocolate and caramel maltiness with bits of earthy hop to counter. Faint peach aroma and flavor that I might not have found had the brewer not told me they add peach juice to this. Flavorful and a bit different, I liked it.
