Bottle from Bert's
Pours a solid dark brown bordering on black with a small tan head that shows remarkable retention and leaves stickies on the way down. Big roasty notes with bits of brown sugary chocolate to smooth it out nicely. Faint earthy hop and light licorice add a nice complexity. Medium to full body with a creamy and light gritty feel to it, moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty stout right there.

From the 16 oz. bottle with the hand-written label. Sampled on October 9, 2016.
Deep dark brown to jet black heady pour.
Oatmeal, burnt dark malt characters on the nose with a mild sweet sensation. Low hop profile.
Medium to full body,
Rich, creamy dark malts with a cooked oatmeal presence in the flavor. Mild bitterness to end. A very nice oatmeal stout.
