16 oz can from Evan, dated Jan 11, 2021 (oops). Got pushed to the back. Finally getting to those "back ones".
GITM fatty.
Whoa, this beer is brown. Never woulda guessed. 2 fingers of beige head, receding gradually to a half finger. No lacing.
Aroma is nutty, chocolatey, smooth, slight dirt, slight antiseptic. Clean.
Flavor is basic nutty brown ale with a hint of chocolate and spices - I'm getting ginger and turmeric with a hint of cardamom on the back end. The cocoa nibs are very present here too. Nice nutty malt. Slight base malt but not as much as the brown malt here. Finish of chocolate cola and the spices mentioned.
Feel is carbonated and slick. Slightly roasty. Oily. Buzzing. Minor alcohol heat.
Overall, a nice extra. Has a good profile and there's nothing offensive about this beer. Would probably have again.
