Really clear light amber appearance.
Body is about medium with about the same for carbonation.
Aroma is malt, grain, cereal, floral honey with just a bit of bitter hops.
Taste for the most part didn't stray too far from the aroma. .
It May not be overpowering and was a little more bitter than expected but was still a very nice beer. Went well with food and enjoyed the balance between some mild bitterness and the grains and cereal

Crisp, refreshing, clean, tasty, great price. I don't have much experience with the Kolsch style but to my knowledge this is an accurate representation of the style. A nice cross between a golden ale and a lager. yb

On-tap @ Redwoods Grill & Bar in Chester, NJ.
Look: Very cloudy pour for a Kolsch. Pale gold color with a small white head.
Smell: Soft cracker malt with a light fruity citrus aroma.
Taste: More of the same pils malt with light citrus and fruit. Smooth and clean tasting, albeit a little too mild and subdued.
Feel: Smooth, slightly creamy texture and easy-drinking. Medium-light bodied.
Overall: Not the most authentic Kolsch I've ever had, but a light and tasty beer nonetheless. It could be a little crisper; I would have guessed it an American Wheat Ale if I was tasting it blind. Nice to see a local brewery attempting the style without feeling the need to add flavorings to it.

Brewery draft. Pours clear gold, very bright, layer of white foam tops. Straw nose, very light. Light clean, crisp flavor, some citrus. Very smooth. Nice easy drinker and entry point for newer NJ area brewery. Very nice Kolsch.

Messy. Looks good. Feels pretty good. But it's just messy. Dirty earth. Overly sweet. Just would love to see it cleaner, crisper, and brighter. Not offensive though.

DATE: June 25, 2016... GLASSWARE: Baltika pokal... OCCASION: after an intense seven-hour standoff with the lawn tractor, the machines still haven't won--this calls for a celebration with my first-ever growler from Czig Meister... pours from a sealed, day-old growler... a light, slightly opaque yellow-orange with sparse bubbling... flourishes with a single finger, fluffy white had that eventually leaves a third of a finger's worth that rests comfortably... mildly hoppy, with hints of Saaz and Tettnanger... lemony citrus and light cracker malts... pepper, eucalyptus and earthiness make for an engaging kolsch allure.... the first sip rushes to the throat, with a slight, biscuit finish... tickles at the teeth.... most importantly, slammable, as a kolsch should be... encouragingly, laces in coral webbing... the taste? a combination of mint, lemon, lemon grass, cracker and enough hops to suggest flowers--well within its style profile and actually makes a case for an American hijacking... kudos to Czig Meister for their attempt at a sessionable, easy-drinking beer that encourages with its flavor and feel... great to see Hackettstown growing as a microbrew state, and this brew is a solid statement that evidences the fact...

Was a tad underwhelmed by this beer. I expected more flavor; it was a bit muted and a bit under carbonated
