Poured from the can fresh about three weeks old. 4-pack was $20 a little pricey but like to support local NJ beers. Tasty and balanced. Very malt-forward. Was seeking an NEIPA so this fell short in that regard but still a quality craft brew from Czig.

Canned on 10/20/2017 so nearly three weeks old when reviewed. Poured into Czig Meister pint glass. It pours a turbid, dirty orange with a foamy, milk-white head that dissipated quickly, and lots of floaties. The nose features tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, malt, and fairly subdued Citra and Mosaic hops. The taste opens with fairly sweet, earthy malt and hints of caramel and tobacco, which surprised me. Then the fruit appears; it's fairly sweet. There is some mango along with the citrus. The hops are surprisingly delicate; there's no discernible bite and only the slightest bitterness in the after taste. For a single IPA, it has a very viscous, almost chewy, mouth feel, with moderate carbonation, and an easy drinking 6.7% ABV. This is a difficult IPA to characterize: it has the appearance of a NE IPA but the malt backbone and sweetness of a southern-style IPA. I enjoyed it but I think I'll wait for the next batch to buy more. I have the feeling Czig Meister will tinker with this one.
