Deep Sea Series: Galactic 7 Milkshake

On draught at The Publick House in Mountainside, New Jersey. 13. oz. pour in a tulip glass. It pours a muddy, turbid, brownish golden yellow color with a finger of fluffy, milk-white head and a thin, creamy sheen of lacing. It's a true NE milkshake appearance. Its fragrant nose includes pineapple, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, pine needles, and light floral hops. The taste isn't quite as fruity as the smell would suggest. It opens with bitter grapefruit and pine, along with tart lemon, and a dose of oats. There are also touches of lactose, vanilla, and pineapple at the back end. The bill of Galaxy and Idaho 7 hops are flavorful but decidedly bitter and leave a bitter after taste. The mouth feel is creamy with pleasant carbonation, and at 7% ABV it's very drinkable. Overall, this is a nice offering by Czig Meister. While it is certainly tasty, the flavor doesn't quite match the aromatic nose.
