Pours a dark murky orange color. Completely opaque. Thin two finger white velvety head dissipates steadily leaving just a ring of foam along the outside the beer.
Aroma is a lovely bright bouquet of peach, nectarine, tangerine, with just a whiff of green hop notes.
Taste follows the nose with notes of peach, nectarine, lemongrass, tangerine, orange rind before giving way to a grassy finish. Moderately sweet. Kind of a watery finish.
Feel is medium to full bodied for an IPA. Bright carbonation.
Overall a tasty NEIPA from Czig Meister!

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderately strong aromas of gooseberries are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of gooseberries along with hints of lime and stone fruit. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of visible carbonation.
O: This New England-style IPA does a very good job at showcasing the aromas and flavors of the Citra hops.

OJ body, white cap. Mango, pineapple, pear, peach, papaya and grassy hop aroma bouquet. Taste follows but thinner and dryer, want a touch more juice, but tropical fruit is present as promised. Very clean for a hazy, drier, refreshing, and has a decent hop crescendo.

16 oz can from Tavour. Milky yellow pour, flat, dull. Aroma is barely there, fruity, citrus, very weak. Taste brings a little zesty citrus, thin. I even swirled the can to make sure it was not all lying in the dregs ...nothing, zip, nada. After the big build up on Tavour, i am seriouly unimpressed. At least its a new brewery tick, right? Anyone? Bueller? Definitely not getting the love for this beer as posted here...

I agree with all the other reviewers that this is an NEIPA and I just asked BA to correct this.
As for Tropics, it captures what I enjoy in a NEIPA. Refreshingly fruity and the bitterness stays in check. Creamy mouthfeel.
I got my can from Tavour. While I enjoyed Tropics, I am unlikely to have another Czig Meister brew since I've only gone through NJ, never spent a night. So, a quick brewer review is in order.
Czig Meister is like many family breweries. They are not in for the money, although that helps them enjoy what they do. They are less than 5 years old, but seem to have an interesting lineup... not hop heavy. They have popular beers in all three traditions. (I'd like to taste their saison.) They are in a suburb 50 miles west of Manhattan, but have a train stop. Their pub is open five days a week, so it gives commuters and townspeople good reason to visit and revive their downtown. Bravo to all that.

a: super hazy matte orange & caramel color, with a hint of amber. 2 finger frothy off-white head that fades pretty quickly and just sticks to the side of the glass
s: pineapple, creamsicle, sweet orange and lemon, grass, papaya, passionfruit. juicy clementines and a touch of tart pineapple at the end. a little bit of a sweet malty backbone
t: sweet mango, guava, and ripe pineapple. strawberries, clementines, and some mild grapefruit. a bit of a chalky note in here as well. a faint touch more of sweet citrus and a kiss of citrus bitterness at the end. some sweet, dry crackers close it out
m: slightly fluffy, slightly chalky mouthfeel with low low carbonation
o: a NEIPA for sure. its extremely tropical, as the name states - almost like juice. a slight note of citrus bitterness prevents it from becoming one-dimensional. tropical; a nice example of a NEIPA. my big knock is the head on this fades way too quick, and it's a bit thin for a NEIPA

First time having this version from the Czig Meister Deep Sea Series
TROPICS
NEIPA 7.2 abv
Poured into a frozen tulip glass .
Beautiful tangerine hazy color with a fluffy head and huge lacing .
Tropics name says it all for the smell as it’s full of fruit flavors.
Taste is wonderful as it’s a fruity, creamy mouthfeel with no bitterness . Reminds me very much of my other favorite one from them Galactic 7..
Overall another wonderful NEIPA from an in state NJ Brewer as part of their Deep Sea series .
Highly recommended !!
