Mostly black appearance, with dark brown highlights. Capped with a creamy tan head.
Sourdough and pumpernickel bread, chocolate, molasses, and hay on the nose.
Pumpernickel bread, chocolate, a slight funk or sourness, (is this open fermented?) hay.
Nice body to it. Smooth and creamy.
A solid Schwarzbier.

Poured nearly black with a tan head that left little lacing.
The aroma was lost on my Covid affected nose.
The taste was balanced between biscuit flavored malts and hops bitterness. Noble hops maybe? Has some of the grassy characteristics that I generally find with them.
The feel is a little more body than I expected, but it fits well with the abundance of taste.
Definitely would have these regularly if they were available in Michigan.

Bought two from Beer Drop. And I'm glad I did.
While Wibby is only 5 years old, they have made a name and a niche for themselves making off-the-beaten-path lagers. And if I were to do a study, a few seem quite highly-rated... perhaps competitive with the Bavarian masters. If Schwibby has longevity and slightly broader distribution outside of Colorado, I think Swibbly can make BA's Top 25 rated schwarzbiers.
I enjoyed the first Schwibby so much that I'm going to wait for the right moment for the second can and review it then. Prost !
4/20/21 I'm certainly glad I waited before drinking the second can. (Schwibby brightened this crummy April day that is fighting back the start of spring.) While I give Schwibby only slightly above average marks for Look and Smell among its schwarzbier comrades, its Taste and Feel are clearly above: balanced and soft with a drying finish.
I also went on Wibby's website. The brewery stands out for its young age because it focussed on lagers and its brewmaster went to Bavaria to learn the craft. They've built a cool taproom and a nice little business. But the focus is key: their Top 10 most rated beers are all lagers. Not many micros focus like that. Wibby's lagers are probably well above average for American micro lagers. Prost again !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
