Parables of Red is a Flanders style sour red, aged nearly a year in neutral red wine barrels. We then transferred the beer onto heaps of tart cherries, and local raspberries. Fruity aroma, and strong acidity balances the malty palate of the style.

750ml bottle at share. Light pink body with small airy head. Soft berry aroma with plenty of sour funk. Taste brings out some of the barrel notes, more berries, a fair amount of pucker. Come together nicely.

Medium brown body, one finger white head, short retention and no lacing. Smell is a fairly acetic vinegar, light oak, mild caramel malt, touch of cherry skin, quite a bit of raspberry tartness. Flavour is raspberry tartness all the way through, heavy acetic acidity, light oak. Touch of tart cherry skin, but the raspberry is more dominant and seems to complement the heavy, and at times, harsh, acetic acidity better than the cherry. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, good carbonation, heavy acetic acidity throughout, touch of raspberry sweetness on the backend.

yet anther from the casa club. Flanders this time. super lively carbonation, but didn't gush for me. very fizzy in the glass...you could hear it across the room. nose screams raspberry and tartness. taste follows...heavy handed tartness but on the fringe of too much for me...no plastic so I can hang. raspberry and cherry for sure....prickly. all in all another solid offering from casa.
