PARABLES OF PURITY was inspired by the Red Ales of Flanders in Belgium, and we were excited to create this beer with Pure Project because of their past successes, uhhem uhem gold medal, uhem!. Blending year old beers with fresh young beer to balance malt and acidity the character is bright and drinkable.
Tasting Notes►Pouring a deep plum colored amber the aroma is subtle vanilla, dates, with light minerality. The body is dry but balanced with a deep malt presence, the flavors bring us back to dark fruits with dried plum and a finishing acidity that refreshes with a crisp snap.
Suggested food parings► Roasted duck, oysters, or short ribs.
Suggested cheese parings► Triple creme Brie.
Suggested dessert parings► Peach pecan strudel.

Reddish dark amber, with a dirty white cap, almost looks more like a oud bruin than a flanders. Minerals, earth, barnyard funk support dried yet tart cherry, hay, and red currant. Taste adds in some plum, oak, apple cider vinegar, and leather. Dark and malty for style for sure, but complex. Feel is tart, rustic, and wild. Complex but not the purest representation of style, worth your time, but let it warm up!
