This medium bodied beer is all about balance. It has a rich chocolate profile with a toasty malt character that ends with a very clean and crisp smokey finish. *Special thanks to Evan from Blockader for hooking me up with this magical peated malt. Served on a nitrogen tap.

On-tap at the brewpub.
Pours a dark brown color with a 2-finger light brown head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of roasted malts with good amounts of unsweetened cocoa and smoked malts. As it warms the cocoa aromas intensify.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Strong roasted malt flavors up front are joined by hints of unsweetened chocolate midway through the sip. Hints of smoke enter into things before a solidly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is very good. It has a smooth thickness with grainy carbonation.
Drinkability is good. I finished my glass without a problem and could have another.
Overall this was a good porter, I'm just not sure if it was a good smoked porter. Either way it's still a decent beer and it's worth a shot to decide for yourself.
