Pours black with a finger of khaki foam on top. Aroma is heavy, with roasted, toasted, and earthy malts right up front. A hint of coffee, with heavier notes of chocolate and cardamon really deliver a hefty, diverse aroma. Flavor profile is coffee and chocolate right up front. Coffee is heavy and dark. An earthy, cardamon finish really twists the flavor profile into a turkish coffee style. Roasted, and toasted malts form a firm base. It has a bit of an oily taste and feel as well - like a hot, mess-filtered cup of coffee. Mouth feel is velvety and large with just a touch of harsh fizz. Overall, a hearty stout that breaks the norm of typical coffee stouts produced in America. It is well put together and unique, landing this one good marks.
