pretty tasty brew here, but not the best saison they had on their list, which was diverse and long, i was very impressed with the selection in here. this is a little pink, more sweet than tart from the fruit, and quite thin in the body, it never quite gets to that classic saison wheaty feel, and the yeast appears to be little more than the french saison or something belgian in that high ester range, common and uninspiring. that said, they have done a nice job with what they have here, and the fruit helps to soften some of the white wine sort of notes from the yeast. lots of sweet cherry in the flavor, subtle lemon, grassy hay, light cereal but no real trace of any wheat malt, its thin and that aspect is noticeably absent, at least for me. good carbonation though and a dont mind the lighter body, especially in warmer weather. the cherry flavor could be scaled back just a touch in terms of the sweetness, i like the balance of it the fruit, its not too much, but it could stand to be fermented down a little more i think. good not great, i preferred their other saison quite a bit more.
