Pours a murky copper color straight out of the tap. Head foams up to a finger in height on a four ounce pour. Retention and lacing are both fair. Aroma is delicious: caramel, toffee, and wheat. While it leans a little to the sugary side, it's overall very pleasant. Flavor profile is similar with notes of caramel, toffee, and wheat. Despite the nearly double digit ABV, the beer hides it well with an incredible smoothness that encourages more gulping and less sipping. Mouth feel is a little bubbly, but otherwise medium-thick. Overall, this beer carries a malty, sugary presence that slips down smooth considering the ABV. While it has a lot going on, each note is struck well.
