Pours a hazy brown with a finger of khaki. Head retention is okay. Aroma is toffee and caramel with toasted, rye malt notes. Rye keeps the aroma short and draws the sweetness out of the caramel and toffee notes. Flavor profile is toffee, caramel, butter, and a dry rye finish. Mouth feel is soft with a light fizzy texture. It has a medium-thick consistency. Overall, a fair barleywine with modest sweet notes.
