Our west-coast inspired pale ale. Brewed with Heidelburg malt (extra pale pils malt), copious amounts of Crystal hops in the kettle, and dry-hopped with Chinook. Fermented with a classic California ale yeast.

Canned 8/6, cracked 12/3… 2 days before the drink by date. Pours an amber golden haze, with a dirty blond head that is creamy and transient. Aroma was bready, mild herbal, orange rind. Taste follow the nose with lemony, tasty malt, light citrus, pine. Feels prickly , soft, crisp, enough smack to make my saliva glands ache a bit nicely. Mouth is dry and eager for more. Very nice!

Poured into a Reuben's Brew pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, dank and lightly citrus hops, lemon, orange, light pine and cantaloupe. Flavor is pale malt, grapefruit, lemon, light pine; a little earthy. Moderate citrus rind bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouth feel. A somewhat hazy pale ale that leans to a West Coast profile with mostly citrus character but a little pine and mixed fruit. Nice creamy body that felt like there could be oats in there. The finish bitterness is on the light side for me, but not the soft style of hazy ales. I liked the Crystal and Chinook hop bill, it had some classic flavors, but with a few fruit notes mixed in. Like some other recent cans, this had a few months on it and may have lost its bright hop flavors, but was still enjoyable.

16oz can into a Spellbound pint.

0.5 finger coarse white head. Hazy yellow color. Stringy, spotty lace. Nose is pretty mellow. Some citrus, pine, and fresh dew. Mellow. Beer opens pine, citrus, and grass. Prickly, light bitterness, loads of grapefruit. A touch of sweetness towards the end balanced by a slightly waxy bitter finish. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on the palate and goes down crisp and refreshing. Dry, slightly lingering finish.

A really crushable beer.

Pours from the can a moderately hazy light orange amber, 1" head with moderate retention (less than I'd expect from Suarez lagers!) and superb lacing. Nose is dried orange peels, orange hard candies, light menthol and pine, lightly roasted malt. Taste follows - extremely balanced with subtle fruit and citrus vibes (orange, grapefruit), bready and mildly sweet roasted malt, and some baking spice. There's are some sweet/yeasty/spicy notes in here, but it doesn't have any boozy or estery flavors. Neither too bitter or too sweet, with a crisp and clean mouthfeel that has moderate weight. Really exceptional.

Appearance: Pours a clear golden color with a two finger head; strong retention and streaky lacing

Smell: Bready and grassy, with a light stone fruit element

Taste: The stone fruit element is more powerful on the palate than in the aroma, but apart from that, this beer has a bready aspect and grassy hops, through the middle; the finish is crisp and relatively dry with a slight bit of honey in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: If you told me this was a pilsner I might believe you though the fruity character of the ale yeast would leave me questioning my judgment

Thanks, devoured_by_vermin, for the opportunity

Pours a hazy gold with small head and nice lacing. A bit of pine smell with some citrus. The pine and citrus blend beautifully on the tongue and it finishes crisp. I really enjoyed this beer.

Can from the brewery in Livingston, NY. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a finger rocky white head, nice lacing; smell is brioche, grapefruit candy, hints of pine needles, balsam fir; taste is lightly toasted white bread, grapefruit zest, pine, pithy finish; feel is light, crisp, and dry. Nicely balanced malts, pine and grapefruit on this highly quaffable treat.

16 oz can.

Pours a clear bright golden color with 2 fingers of creamy white head. Good retention. Leaves a nice ring of lacing around the glass.

Aromas of grapefruit, lemon, and grainy malts with a bit of pine.

The flavor brings notes of fresh citrus with some floral hops and honey. Finishes lightly earthy and piney. Has a nice doughy malt backbone.

The feel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and creamy and scarily drinkable.

Overall, this is a great pale ale. It's rather simple, all things considered, but it's very well crafted and delicious.
