I enjoyed two pints on draft at TJ's in Paoli, Pa.
Mostly clear, soft, hay-golden body with small, white head atop shows moderate to moderately strong retention.
The smell is of nectarine/stone fruit, with soft dank notes and light pine. Emerging strongly, especially with warming and breathing, is the crude hennepin yeast full of heavy bubble gum, cotton candy and peach.
Just like the base version, it smells nothing like a saison and much closer to a belgian golden or maybe even a wit. Lightly sugary malts lie behind it, with cracker and dough. No alcohol or flaw.
The flavor is enjoyable, fruity, softly juicy and such, but quickly they’re outdone by this noxious yeast. Too much carbonation and not enough dryness on the end. It seems a little too full of simple table sugar and dough-like notes.
Still love Unibroue A Tout Le Monde and Free Will Raptor's Delite as my favorite saisons. \m/

On tap at the Good Life in Massapequa Park, NY... In a tulip glass, clear golden ale with a thin cap of white foam that persisted all the way down. Aromas of fresh grain, citrus, and mild orchard fruit. Taste suggested sweet citric pith, biscuit with honey, fresh crisp pale fruit... Feel was light, but with a little funk to the edge; mild bitterness, moderate carbonation. Haven't had a regular Hennepin in a long time, but as far as I recall, this was more to my tastes - a tad bit sweeter and citrusier.

On Tap @ Red Cow Pours a slightly hazed golden yellow color. smell and taste has clove ,bananas , light fruit some ginger and pepper in addition to this the mosaic hop brings a fruity dankness to the saison, mouth feel was dry with belgian yeast, a white grape juice taste with wine/champagne dryness i like mosaic hops and thought this addition was very good
