Dry-hopped wit beer brewed with passion fruit, mango, and kiwi. Poured from a bottle into a New Belgium tulip. The pour is pale gold, hazy, has lots of floaters (probably should have poured more carefully), and sports a majestic 3-finger crown of fine white creamy foam with outstanding retention. I definitely get the mango on the nose along with lemon and a little grainy sweet note.

Medium-light body with a delicate feel and a light, pleasant flavor. Lots of carbonation really opens up the palate to tart and sweet flavors of grain, lemon, mango, kiwi, and apple. The finish is very light and a little dry and not very long-lasting (I suppose this is typical of the style). Very refreshing beer. I only bought a single, but I should go back and pick up some more.

Lots of sediment, even caked on the top of the inside of the bottle neck

If you like these fruity herbal beers, you'll like this one. Very light on the palate and easy to drink, but I'm not a fruit beer person so I'll give it a 'meh'. I myself will not buy another six pack. I bought it for my girlfriend because she doesn't like anything other than a fruity beef. She didn't like this one either so I am going to finish them off. I will enjoy them as I do though.

Ahhhhhh. Refreshing. Light hearted. Fresh. Sessionable. Sensationally Tropical. Abundant juicy vectors and spectors criss cross the palate when suddenly spice and earth wash forth. Passionate carbonation and nasal affect. Really, really farmhousey in the perfect way. A huge finish for a 5.3'e.. delivers on a Belgian experience perhaps twice its abv. It leaves you twice as prepared for more. A rich, thick, fuzzy ring accompanies here until the last swig... thirty minutes into a 12 oz pour.

One to be enjoyed many times over, especially at special celebrations and gatherings. This brew to mecaptures and releases all I seek in a domestic adult brew. I enjoy it. But does that mean you should try it ?

Another tasty beer from Ommegang. Pours a hazy very light yellow color into a Timmerman stemmed half-pint glass. Very bubbly medium sized white head with average retention and thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is wheat, Belgian yeast and tropical fruit with the Passion Fruit being the strongest. Taste is similar but there is a hoppy bitterness to go along with mild wheat bitterness and there is some spicing like coriander and cloves. The sweet tropical fruit is the strongest taste. It all comes together very well. Mouthfeel is crisp with noticeable bitterness to balance the sweet fruit. Not a classic crisp Witbier but still a tasty brew, typical Ommegang...more like a Saison.

Applying a tropical update to a Belgian classic, the Brewery Ommegang shows their that their sharp wit has a bright side and a sunny disposition. So they take on the witbier style but do so with the radiant, succulent and tangy trio of passionfruit, kiwi and mango, bringing the tropical fruit trends to fruition.

And there you have it- Fruition teases the nose with ripe fruit character that's decidedly on the light side of the tropics but is also firmly citrusy and melon-like, and along with a peppery vinous twinge. Glowing with a pale golden color, the cloudy beer leads with the taste of angel food cake, light honey and sourdough.

The sweetness begins to fade as the fruit and spice medley builds into a tangy crescendo of lemon, passionfruit, mango and the limey notes of kiwi. Underlying flavors of orange and lemon brace against the spiciness of white pepper, clove and vanilla for a soothing spiciness. Creamy with a pillowy malt texture, the finish is slightly yogurt-like with the racy dryness of sparkling white wine.

Medium bodied, the wheaten substrate of the beer seems to suggest a creamier body, but the playful acidity of yeast and fruit, along with the yeast spices, all work to lighten the body and crispen the taste. Nearly minty, the herbal hops and soothing alcohol provides a hint of botanicals and earth. A medium length afterglow of tropical and citrus scale past the wine, spice and bready influences of the beer's early taste.
