L: Hazy translucent pale yellow with an enormous rocky white head. Long-lasting retention and sheets of lacing. Beautiful beer.

S: Generic tart tropical fruit--though none specifically forward. A hint of passion fruit. Banana, lemon, green apple, cracker, hay, and coriander are there. Airy and refreshing.

T: Lemon zest and green apple upfront. A hint of passionfruit and green grape. Some green banana, and then cracker, drying hay, and a hint of coriander/clove. Slightly tart upfront, and slightly dry on the finish.

F: Medium-light. A bit thin, in my opinion. Fairly well carbonated. Drinks easy, but I wish it had more body for a witbier.

O: A nice refreshing witbier. Not as forward on the tropical fruits as it advertises, but overall still a pleasant and refreshing beer.

12oz can into a pint glass.Canned 3/19/18, best by 8/2018, so 4 months old here. Witbier brewed with passion fruit, mango & Kiwi

Pale watery orange body, small white head which dissipates to a ring & covering.

Very faint fruity aroma.

Tastes of wheat, fruity, and a little dry. There is a tang to it too, from the citrus side of the fruit and the dry hopping. nice balance.

close to full on the mouth, a little sharp and then dry on the finish.

overall, a nicely balanced fruit wit.

Cloudy gold light orange color. About a light to medium body, above average carbonation that seems to dissipate quickly
Aroma is a really nice blend of tropical fruits, citrus, citrus peel, grain, and an almost bubblegum yeast smell
Taste is more bitter and sour then the aroma suggests, sort of like sweet and sour candy but this is not an overly sweet be at all.
More complex than i thought it would, definitely worth trying

The slightly hazy light golden yellow colored beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1 1/2” fluffy white head that recedes slowly, leaving lots of lots of lacing on the sides of the glass. Sipping creates lots of small patches and legs of lacing. Even mid-way through the beer there’s still a thin, irregularly shaped island of foam on the liquid.

The aromas are both fruity and spicy. In the mix there’s some citrus, some coriander, some tropical fruit and just a bit of white pepper.

The flavors are more complex than expected from the nose. There’s a bit of wheat and malt sweetness mingled in with the tropical fruit, the citrus, the coriander and the light white pepper. Among the various fruit flavors there is something that reminds of a slightly tart kiwi fruit and that fruit blends in nicely with the spices other fruits. The other tropical fruits are more in the background as are the white pepper and just a touch of hop bitterness. The citrus seems to have both some orange and a bit of lemon character.

The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium bodied and just a bit creamy with some light finely bubbled and persistent carbonation. The finish begins as the sweetness, fruit flavors and light spices all begin to fade into a semi-dry ending that is lightly touched by the kiwi flavor and some light tartness and a very light bitterness.

On the whole I’m enjoying this beer and would certainly enjoy having another on a hot, steamy day where the slight fruity tartness would be quite refreshing. While this is a tasty beer, I think I prefer the more traditional formulation of a Witbier so for my regular rotation I’ll probably be spending money on something like the Allagash White or the St. Bernardus Wit.

A slightly sweet surprise in more than one way; one of the better Ommegangs I have had...

Hazy like a witbier should be, but with a nice light yellow color without looking like a Corona (a big plus.) The bottle poured out a big, fluffy white foam with good staying power and distinct lacing for added effect. A sweet tang to my nose blended well with background notes of hops and some spice. The mouthfeel was very light, mild tingle, and an astringent after-effect. The taste was well rounded - sweet taste of citrus with the mild dry-hops (as advertised on the bottle.) A very good Ommegang, I'm glad I have several more to go through.

Bottle. Great name; how has nobody used it yet!? I didn't love the beer though. Fruity elements were subdued. Dy hopped? Heavier on the Belgian wheat component. I enjoyed the dry finish however.

Dry-hopped wit beer brewed with passion fruit, mango, and kiwi. Poured from a bottle into a New Belgium tulip. The pour is pale gold, hazy, has lots of floaters (probably should have poured more carefully), and sports a majestic 3-finger crown of fine white creamy foam with outstanding retention. I definitely get the mango on the nose along with lemon and a little grainy sweet note.

Medium-light body with a delicate feel and a light, pleasant flavor. Lots of carbonation really opens up the palate to tart and sweet flavors of grain, lemon, mango, kiwi, and apple. The finish is very light and a little dry and not very long-lasting (I suppose this is typical of the style). Very refreshing beer. I only bought a single, but I should go back and pick up some more.
