Hazy, yellow color. Big, white head. The aroma of passion fruit, mango, and wheat malt. Wheat malt and fruits in dry, moderately sweet taste. Decent, hoppy bitterness. Interesting and very drinkable. -

Picked this up in Cooperstown over the summer as I finally got to see the Ommegang Brewery and take the tour. It was on my list of things to do, and this was the only beer they had for sale that I hadn't tried before. It wasn't bad and on par with their other offerings but their house yeast was what ended up winning me over, as the taste was just a bit unusual for my liking!

The pour to this was on par with their other offerings, as it was bright, hazy, and topped off with plenty of fluffy head. That quickly settled as half-full rings of lacing coated my pint glass as I worked my way through this. Not a strong aroma but there was plenty of yeast, mango, and kiwi to go along with some raspberry and acetate tartness. Much more of that came through in the taste as the wheat was a bit lacking, as a way to cut the puckering flavor down. Some citrus tang and acridness emerged once this fully warmed up, as it felt as much as Fruit / Vegetable beer as a Belgian Witbier...

Not a lot of alcohol in here thankfully, as it would have been too overwhelming for me. The soapy mouthfeel and medium body combined with a bright carbonation to keep this somewhat light and slick on the palate. Not a bad beer but not on par with my favorite offerings from them - this was worth a go once and had me wishing I was back on their farm on a warm day, with the Baseball Hall of Fame just down the road...

pours a hazy, lemony straw with a medium head that hangs out a minute. nose; citrus pith, grassy hops, & light yeast. taste; cracker malt, lightly tart herbal lemon, light sweet citrus fruit (kiwi?), grassy hops, & coriander. medium carbonation & mouthfeel. an easy day drink, and just being slightly tart makes it a great gose alternative.

L: Hazy translucent pale yellow with an enormous rocky white head. Long-lasting retention and sheets of lacing. Beautiful beer.

S: Generic tart tropical fruit--though none specifically forward. A hint of passion fruit. Banana, lemon, green apple, cracker, hay, and coriander are there. Airy and refreshing.

T: Lemon zest and green apple upfront. A hint of passionfruit and green grape. Some green banana, and then cracker, drying hay, and a hint of coriander/clove. Slightly tart upfront, and slightly dry on the finish.

F: Medium-light. A bit thin, in my opinion. Fairly well carbonated. Drinks easy, but I wish it had more body for a witbier.

O: A nice refreshing witbier. Not as forward on the tropical fruits as it advertises, but overall still a pleasant and refreshing beer.

12oz can into a pint glass. Canned 3/19/18, best by 8/2018, so 4 months old here. Witbier brewed with passion fruit, mango & Kiwi

Pale watery orange body, small white head which dissipates to a ring & covering.

Very faint fruity aroma.

Tastes of wheat, fruity, and a little dry. There is a tang to it too, from the citrus side of the fruit and the dry hopping. nice balance.

close to full on the mouth, a little sharp and then dry on the finish.

overall, a nicely balanced fruit wit.

Cloudy gold light orange color. About a light to medium body, above average carbonation that seems to dissipate quickly
Aroma is a really nice blend of tropical fruits, citrus, citrus peel, grain, and an almost bubblegum yeast smell
Taste is more bitter and sour then the aroma suggests, sort of like sweet and sour candy but this is not an overly sweet be at all.
More complex than i thought it would, definitely worth trying
