Developed by Brewery Ommegang with the master blenders at Liefmans in Oudenaarde, Belgium. A beautifully clean and balanced sour beer that drinks like a fine white wine. The flavor is an elegant interplay of sweet and sour; mouthfeel is soft with a delicate body and a clean finish.

Let’s send a “Blended” beer made in Belgium to America!
They will suck it up,
Should have called it SolError.
Yes it was sour all right.
OK, i will back off a bit.
I thought i bought a beer not weird lemonade.

Hazy golden with a thin, white head. The aroma of malt , tart fruit,s and funky yeasts. Moderately tart taste with some malty sweetness and gentle hoppy bitterness. Bad looking flakes on the bottom.

Poured into a tall wide Stange type glass, from a can, 13 February 2020, best by 2023.
Pours a nice golden color with a head that disappears quick but hangs around the edge of the glass all the way down. Lots of floaters that settle to the bottom.
Smells of lightly vinerous grapes with some sweetness.
Taste is a mild tart grape that drinks quite thin. Mild yeast.
Nice beer that I originally bought for Thanksgiving to go with the turkey. I can see this going well with turkey or game. Probably a better warm weather beer. Would like to try a fresh one, this is going on 3 years but within the BB date.

(12 oz can, BB022823; purchased single off shelf... poured into a teku)
L: moderately hazy, yellow liquid; tall, crackly foam build, crumbling upon pour
S: acetone, apricot, greenness of fresh cut grass... perhaps a mild warming ethanol emanating off the top; barrel nut
T: mellow lemon tartness accenting some melon and nectarine tones in the aftertaste, which holds then disappears, leaving light vinegary flames... weak ginger flesh note builds
F: bit of a fizz zazzing up a rather silky, light-medium bodied texture... restrained tart bite tingling the top of the tongue, lasting through each sip... kind of like sipping electrified wet air; would love a touch more tang
O: doesn't blow me away in any aspect but it's got some breadth to its expressions and is crazy easy drinkable... would drink this again (1895)

Served on tap in a tulip
Appearance - The beer is served a copper color with a tiny white head. The head fades fast leaving a trace of lace on sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is funky and big of hay and grass. There are bits of yeast and grain in there as well, producing a stale, funky, smell that is overall very pleasant.
Taste - The taste begins with malty and very light apple cider vinegar taste with a nice sweet harvest fruit taste. As the taste advances, more sweetness and a bit of must and earth comes to the tongue, leaving one with a nice light sour and sweet taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is medium in thickness, with a carbonation level that is low. Overall, very nice.
Overall - A nice farmhouse ale. Good and easy drinking.

12oz can (packaging code indecipherable) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a lightly hazy pale yellow color with 3/4 inch of white head that had low moderate retention with no lacing.
The aroma had a nice yeast component at the front, with some nice tartness in the back.
On the tongue, a bit of yeasty fruitiness showed up, and the tartness remained restrained.
The body was on the light side of medium, smooth with good carbonation, and had a very dry finish.
Drinkability was good, although a sipper, not a gulper.
Overall, a pretty nice little brew, enjoyable on a warm afternoon with a ballgame on the radio. Worth grabbing if you see it.
