March 2024 release; consumed on 10/18/2024
Pours a viscous, motor-oil black body capped with two fingers of thick, mocha-hued foam; solid head retention leaves a slight layer of cap, large, frothy collar, and a modest array of webby/spotty lacing spread around the walls of the glass.
Aroma wafts whipped strawberry creme with undertones of fresh vanilla wafers and a golden Oreo crumble; a twangier strawberry progression phases through oncoming vanilla bean as hints of cocoa biscuit linger.
Taste offers twangy strawberry upfront as dark chocolate softens and a tinge of nuttiness details; coffee grounds expand through the back end, while hints of roast and softened strawberry creme mark the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-full body and minimal carbonation, first dispersing a fruity twang prior to developing a creamy contrast over the mid-palate; silky texturing into the back end meets a mild char and subtle stickiness on the close.
The inate richness of the style faces covert tempering via layered fruit coating all aspects of decadent malt/baked-good subtext; indulgent yet palatable.

Had on tap. Brownish black body with a brown collar. Smell is really impressive with how large the strawberry is, with vanilla, sweet biscuit, dark nuts and cocoa. Taste is what caused me to look at the description again, "it tastes like strawberry golden oreos"... oh it IS strawberry golden oreos, impressive! The pecan, cocoa and malt get slammed to the back, but the strawberry and slightly lesser so golden oreo is so potent and pure you don't care. Feel is sugary but held in check, smooth, frothy and lighter than expected too, but this is a good thing here to help make this dessert more palatable. The wife loved it
