Lacks body. Not much body. If you like a casual beer that gets the job done then this is it.

On tap at Beveridge Place.

Appearance is cloudy yellow, with a substantial head. The aroma is yeasty. The taste is yeasty and heavily hoppy. It's not bitter like an IPA, but it's got plenty of bitterness, like a Pale Ale that's nearing IPA territory.

Overall, it's pretty good. I think your reaction to this beer depends on your expectations. If you are expecting a refined saison, like the famous Belgians or even like Tank 7, this beer isn't anything like that. But if you like yeasty, malty, hoppy ales, a little rough around the edges, this one's just fine.

Served On-Tap in a 16oz Tulip

A - Pours a lightly hazy pale yellowy orange hue into the glass, there is quite a tall nearly white colored head that forms on top and leaves some quality lacing along the inside of the glass with each sip.

S - Smell is light and peppery, yeast is showcased nice enough upon a clean and slightly sweet malt body of sourdough bread and a chewy oat presence. There is a hint of bitterness, green and bitter hops.

T - Starts out okay with a peppery yeasty saison base, leads way to an incredibly bitter and astringent note of intense hops and lemony pine, really out of sorts for the style.

M - Intensely dry and astringent again, really bitter and a lingering drying aftertaste is apparent.

O - OK overall, it shows good promise but gets overdone by hops. Saisons need not be hoppy, just a bit of hop to balance out any sweet malt profile is all that is necessary.

Golden amber brew with a modest foam, served in a pint Mason jar. On tap at the brewery tasting room on their opening night, 9-11. Substantial mouthfeel that seems both winey and malty.

Huge wall of flavor with a massive yeastiness. Pleasant funky taste with something like cilantro and lavender lurking in the yeast. Surprising and persistent bitterness. This is an interesting brew, not strong at 5.5%, but a brash and seemingly hopped-up kind of Saison.
