Stickman Brews "5th & Meridian"
at the brewery on 1 April 2017
$5 / 8 oz.
Notes: Clear amber body beneath a short head of white that fades readily. Funk and caramel in the nose, and the flavor follows: caramel, tart fruit (some tangerine, sharp apple), some vinous character. Earthy. Not too tart. Not to sweet. Light-medium inn body with a fine-bubbled, seemingly natural carbonation that just lightly tingles on the palate. Fairly good take on the style; they're giving Free Will Brewing a run for their money.

clear, medium amber in color, white head. aroma has a bit of malty caramel mixed in with red wine and vinegary tartness. taste is on style, definitely sour but not overwhelming. thinner bodied.

Pours with very little head over a fairly clear golden color. Good dank funk in the aroma. A relatively "light" Flanders ... meaning no overly rich sweetness (like The Duchesse) to cover the sour pull. Tasty, slightly tart, plum-skin flavor. Light in the mouthfeel. Winner.
