Brought this back from a summer trip to MI, and finally took it out the fridge. From a 500 ml bottle into a tulip. Even a gentle pour generates a huge 3 finger puffy and foamy head, with good retention...half hazy/half clear honey autumn-gold color. Nose is kind of sweet and kind of sour but totally refreshing citrus and orchard fruits, freshly picked, maybe a little grassy hay, too. I definitely get the Southern Hemisphere hop connection, but it also reminds me a bit of Sorachi ace hops, which I don't think I've had in a long time. Taste has all the fruit just mentioned, as well as a little more pronounced brett (of the fruity and easy-going variety). Very crisp and dry and initially light on the tongue, but mid-way through you find it has a pretty solid and substantial body, with just enough tartness to cause you to pucker up a little bit. Really nice beer. Fairly straightforward, but still a lot of great components that add up and harmonize extremely well.

Saison style ale brewed with pilsner and spelt malt. Mixed fermentation of saccharomyces, brettanomyces and lactobacillus cultures. Dry hopped with NZ cascade.
Pours a golden color with a large foamy head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of sour citrus. Taste is tart and fruity. Crisp and dry.
