im not sure how anyone could have rated this beer poorly. maybe it doesnt travel well, was poured through dirty lines, wasnt fresh, or something else in the other reviewers experience, but on tap at the brewery itself, its mighty impressive. not only is this one of the best beers i have had from these guys ever, but its also one of the best expressions i have seen of chinook hops, which seem to never get any love as a single hop varietal, but this beer shows that they should! its a hop we forget about, or always see in a bittering context, mixed with other northwestern and C varietals, but as a dry hop, this is crazy. an aroma of pine and fruity pebbles cereal, so fruity and fresh, delightful in the nose with such a pale base. the taste is the same, lemon candy, tropical notes i didnt even know existed in chinook, and still some resinous bitterness, but its light, mostly dry hopped though, its just balanced perfectly, and being so low alcohol, dry, and clean, it means i could drink it indefinitely. not sure if this one has made it into cans yet, but it should. it has made chinook cool again for me, and i think it has the appeal to do that for a very wide audience. awesome pale ale! the best beer so far from new image!
