I dreamed I was in a forest having a picnic. As I am about to eat my ham sandwich, a deer bounds into the thicket, startling both of us. The sunlight glinted off his thick handlebar mustache, thick rimmed glasses, and manicured antlers. We both stared. "Hey," he said, "Have you seen some keys?" I shook my head. "The rental car company is gonna be pissed," he murmured as he walked away. When I awoke, made this delicious hazy, Vermont–style pale ale, and named it Paul. Because it made sense at the time.

Looks hazy but is not an IPA contra the BA classification. Its 5%!
Smells generically hoppy and like lime citrus
Taate is a bit muddled and thin even for this ABV.
Mouthfeel is decent but the taste drops off a cliff. Dry but not mouthwatering. Says its a single hop beer but no specifics given.
Overall not the best pale ale. BuT fun to try a Heady Lite attempt.

Mildly hazy goldenrod with a thin long lasting lace. Looks awesome but the smells are subdued as expected for the ABV. Mostly citrus on the lemon/lime side and a hint of cut grass.
Similar taste with some carbonated bitter/tang. Clean and drier finish. All good things but most slight not as thirst quenching as I would have liked.

12 ounce can into pint glass; no can dating, but was just released locally. Pours very hazy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an excellent NEAPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome Simcoe, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus profile. Very juicy, vibrant, fairly dank/earthy hops, and fruity English yeast; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressively spot on style example.

Can thanks to Steve G. (Birraipa).
This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a bright pale hazy dark yellow color with quarter finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off fairly quick. Clingy lace moderately speckles my glass.
The aroma had a extremely nice messhing of melon/honeydew to sweet danky onion with a light spicy white pepper coming in underneath.
The flavor leads with the spicy hops coming across like white pepper with some grassy hops. Fruity melon/honeydew with a touch of apricot fleshy came in for a sly sweet balance. Aftertaste was melon to grassy with a touch of dry sweet apricot.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation was nice and low. ABV felt good. Finish had some white peppery character playing with some melon smoothness.
Overall, a very nicely done New England styled APA that would fit in absolutely well in Vermont if distro-ed here. Cheers to a Colorado buddy for the hook-up.

L - Looks like a nice NE style IPA. Medium haze, orange/slightly golden color, reminds me of how Hill Farmstead Edward looks
S - Sweet malt, slightly melon or apricots, some pineapple, oranges. tiny bit of stone fruit.
T - Very nice and flavorful for a pale ale. A little grassy, good citrus and stone fruit flavors, some pineapple, little bit of apricots, little bit of lingering bitterness, can taste the water profile a little bit. One of the better pale ales out there but a few off-flavors.
F - Solid mouthfeel for a pale ale, right in the middle, not to light, not to heavy. Refreshing to where I want another.
O - Overall a very well done pale ale. Would definitely buy another six pack to have in my fridge.

not quite as compelling as the single by choice chinook edition, that beer is amazing, but this house pale ale is also excellent, and also underrated in my opinion, but it sounds like its more a problem with the bar than the beer in the other fellow's experience. this is really delicate and clean, nice and bitter, minimal on the grain side, and tasting very fresh on tap at the brewery. these guys have come a long way since they first opened, especially with the hoppy stuff, and this is a great example of that. its aromatic in a citrusy way, flavorful in a classic hoppy sense, and bittered below the level of a classic ipa but still very sturdy. the grain gives some body but stands back in the flavor, dry pale barley seems about it, maybe faint pils malt, and the beer is fermented completely, carbonated perfectly, and served up fresh. its a little hazier looking than i find appealing, but it doesnt affect how good the beer is. i have not been blown away by the hop profile here, its familiar as can be, northwestern and piney, but rather by the overall quality, which is well ahead of the current curve here in colorado and honestly one of the better pales out there right now. especially in a single hop context. if you can get it and have it at the brewery, i strongly recommend it. drinkable, flavorful, delicious.
