Pairing up New Zealand's Motueka hop with Citra, we brought together their blend of melon, tropical, and stonefruits and added a dry hop of Columbus to bring those voluptuous flavors to the surface. Sweet on the first sip while finishing dry, this beer brings an understated elegance to the standard IPA.

Malts: Pilsner, Wheat, Carafoam, Oats
Hops: Citra, Motueka, Columbus
Yeast: English Ale Yeast

My kind of IPA, thick, tropical, & refreshing, without the harsh bitterness, a bit like fresh cut grass. On tap at Tavern 242 in Morrison.

Hazy dark gold pour, finger of off white foam. Nose is citrus and tropical

Taste offers ripe peach, little hint of caramel, sweet citrus, mango, honeydew, light kilned malt. Creamy medium mouthfeel, wheaty. Finish is peach jam with a touch of lime zest.

Canned 10/7/24. Purchased 11/12/24 at the Wheat Ridge brewery.

L: Pours a hazy gold with a short white head that lasted only seconds on top but sticks around the side of the glass. Thin irregular lacing.

S: Aromas of mango and melon.

T: Pineapple and mango up front, then melon. Finishes dry without bitterness.

F: Medium to soft mouthfeel. Medium to low carbonation.

O: A terrific tropical / melon flavor profile.

On draft at the taproom. Poured a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of fluffy foam. It smelled of mango, guava, orange and grapefruit. Tasted of tropical fruit, toasted caramel and a sharp, piney bitterness.

This is one of New Image's best beers. I get every single aroma and flavor noted in the description, which is rare for me. It's not quite as juicy as some of the new-style IPAs, and the melon flavor is the dominant one. New Zealand IPAs are one of the newest trends, and we'll see if they stick around, but even if they don't this is a solid offering.

16 oz can. Pours hazy yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains fairly well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is stinky hops with some fruit.

The flavor is sweet wheat malt with coconut and fruit and some stinky resiny hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, not as good as remembered from draft.
