12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours very hazy deep golden/orange, light red/pink color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with solid retention, that reduces to nothing pretty quickly. No glass lacing, and a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy cherries, cranberries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, cinnamon, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of cherry, cranberry, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, cinnamon, vanilla, lactose, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy cherries, cranberries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, cinnamon, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and Brett/cinnamon spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy fruit, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, cinnamon, peppercorn, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread, light leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of cherry, cranberry, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, cinnamon, vanilla, lactose, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/lactose/tartness, tangy fruit, and yeast/cinnamon spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/tangy/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited milkshake sour. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of cherry, cranberry, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, cinnamon, vanilla, lactose, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Awesome balance of juicy/jammy fruit, spices, and Brett/Lacto complexity; with a nice lactose and pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect.
