Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin brown head that dissipates to patches with slight lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, milk chocolate, mild peanuts and vanilla. Flavor follows, with semi-sweet dark toasted malt, milk chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla and lactose; lingering chocolate and peanut butter. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Carbonation a little low. Nice depth of flavor and great peanut butter brownie flavor. Well made pastry stout and fine post dinner dessert beer. Light carbonation keeps this from being stellar.
