Double Dry Hopped DIPA with Citra and Citiva
Two is pretty much always better than one, and that’s the idea behind our double dry hopped double IPA series - combine two hops for unique flavors and then crank that up to 11 with a huge amount of dry hopping with those two hops. This time out we’re putting the citrus/peach of one of our favorite hops - Citra, along with a hop that’s new to us, Citiva. This one kicks up the peach flavors but also a little lime and some tropical flavors to make the kind of DIPA goodness you’d expect from this series.

These guys are killing it with their DDH and hazies, especially with Citra and Mosaic. New variations every month and you can’t go wrong. Changed my perception of NE IPAs and totally raised the bar compared to other local options. Outstanding and worth checking their beers out if you can find them.

Pours straw colored, or light hazy yellow with a three finger head that leaves wonderful wisps of lattice behind. Aroma is peach with a slight grassy distinction. Taste is definite peach and a bit of juicy, tropical character -- perhaps some guava thrown in. As the beer warms, a prominent orange character emerges. Flavor is bright and distinctive, as well as very hard to put down. Put this one on your list!

A: The beers very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high dense off white head that died down, leaving lots of lacy rings of bubbles down the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of lime are present in the nose along with notes of peach.
T: The taste follows the smell except that the flavors of peaches are more on par with the lime and there are additional hints of stone fruit. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, juicy and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this IPA to be unique due to the peach aromas and flavors imparted by the Citiva hops.
