IPA with Idaho-7 cryo & Idaho Gem hops
In addition for being world-renowned for their bountiful production of spuds, Idaho also has a reputation for semi-precious gems, and more relevant to all of us... hops!
So when the good folks at Yakima Chief Hops approached us about collaborating on an IPA for the Craft Brewers Conference, we figured it'd only be appropriate to feature ingredients almost exclusively from their home state.
At the heart of this collaborative Idaho-centric beer is Idaho-7 hops, which we dry-hopped in super high density cryo form. But Pure Gem 7 also features Idaho Gem hops and Idaho Pure Malt.
The result is a beer that every spud slinger will be sure to love.

A: The beer is hazy and a bit pale yellow in color, having a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of tropical fruit hops are present in the nose - pineapples seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste has flavors of pineapple along with notes of papaya. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. Only a light amount of crispness is perceptible.
O: I found this combination of hops to be quite unique and particularly enjoyed the aromas and flavors of pineapple.

I enjoyed this sample the rep brought. made with all Idaho ingredients including Idaho 7 and and Idaho Gem hops. All in all pretty solid brew, Kinda runs together with ,any ipa's out there but it is a good one
