L: Pours a dark brown black with a medium tan head and some nice lacing around the glass.

S: Nice smokey meat greets the nose, followed by hints of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel, quite an inviting aroma.

T: A bit of a mineral note, followed by nice smokey meat, roasted malt, chocolate and some caramel. The smoke is nicely balanced with the rest of this beer.

F: Smooth and creamy body.

O: This is a really enjoyable smoked porter.

Poured a nice deep mahogany brown with a thin sandy colored head that quickly vanished to a thin ring around the glass. The ring does reappear as you drink it. Decent lace on the sides.
Smells and Tastes of smokey malt with a punch of carbonation.
Feels somewhat dry and seltzer like. A little more than my liking.
Glad I tried it. Drank the whole thing and didn't have any resentment. Probably move on the something else.

The smoke flavor is very mellow, coming more in the after-aftertaste than the first wash of flavor. It give a good background without being overpowering.

Black appearance with dark brown highlights. The head is small after a vigorous pour, but it sticks around. Brown in color. Nice lacing.

The aroma is dark chocolate, malted milk balls, pumpernickel bread and a hint of savory smoke.

Lots of chocolate, dark and milk, with malted milk balls, toasty pumpernickel bread, sweet and savory mild smokiness, a touch of molasses, semi-crisp finish.

The mouthfeel seems a bit light, but that makes it super drinkable.

This is a solid smoked porter! Props to New Image.

Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, near black body with a few inches of billowing, medium-beige foam.

Smell: A distinct albeit so-so smokiness adjoined to the distinct, pointed roasted malt along with notes of dark fruit, low-grade chocolate, store-brand coffee.

Taste: Honeyed, sweetish marshmallows and smooth (smoove) roast with some easy-going chocolate yet firm caramel, a little dark fruitiness and an overlaid note of industrial smokiness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A good-looking beer - in an era of flat, languid beer packed with insipid ooze, a beer with a lofty, even lasting head shines outright. Anyhoo-- it's got a nice, rich underlying maltiness but some just-OK smokiness, ultimately landing in the Above-Average Zone.

Canned two months ago.

Pours near-black with a thin tan head.

The nose is roast, dark chocolate, and light smoke.

The taste follows. Roast and dark chocolate with subtle smoke. I'm not getting any of the off notes that the other reviewer mentions.

The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium.

Overall, pretty good. More roasty than smokey.

The first serving I had was smoky as advertised but very average so I was like "okay I probably just need this to warm a smidge". The 2nd serving was BY FAR so much fucking worse idk what the hell happened in this can but there's no smoke no malt and it's has this nasty funk to it that absolutely should not be there. Idk what happened but this is AWFUL.

UPDATE: Very glad the other reviewer didn't seem to experience this, must have just been a weird can, I'm rating this now based on the first experience were it was just a smidge too cold sample size taster, smoke was present and the malt backbone was solid, just wanted more out of it I guess.
