A combo of rye and bourbon barrels, and aspects of both come through—smooth, strong, and a bit spicy. Hints of coconut and cocoa nibs percolate and in the background. Alcohol taste and warming is noticeable, which isn’t surprising given 15.36% abv. Head and lacing is nonexistent, just a shimmering oil-looking liquid. Medium body. Overall pretty good if you like whisky.
