This is a "thiolized" IPA. So, I had to look this up. According to Craft Beer & Brewing:
"The term “Thiolized” refers to our engineered yeast strains that have the ability to biotransform the thiol precursors found in malt, hops, and grape-derived products into free thiols. Brewers can unleash these previously inaccessible tropical aromas into their beers simply by switching to a Thiolized yeast strain."
Cloudy, dirty gold to amber. Moderate head which settles to film and leaves some streaks and small spots on the glass.
The smell reminds me of tutti-fruity and a bit of mango, pineapple, and white pepper. There's some floralness coming from the hop as well.
Low carbonation with a rich body, the beer is very juicy feeling (with minor carbonation). The lightly fruity flavor becomes spicy and bitter quickly. The swallow draws out the high alcohol in the form of a warmed throat. Modest aftertaste.
