I don’t know if I’ve ever poured a beer Sunday and then finally rated it Thursday, but this one has remarkable stamina. Maybe it’s because it’s so boozy. Thick, flavorful, a bit sticky, it’s also complex, roasty, and bold. Pretty darn good.

Pitch matte black body, light brown head. Smell is run by the barrel with significant char, rye, and caramel. Taste same with added sweet dark fruit, dark chocolate and molasses added, but none of it gets in the way of the barrel, and its unique, earthy and rustic character. Feel is appropriately, warm and smooth, allowing the barrel character textures to really come through in an artistic way. This is excellent! The wife like
