We selected casks of imperial stout aged 40 months in Heaven Hill Bourbon, and casks of imperial stout aged 21 months in Heaven Hill Rye barrels. The long aged component had intense barrel and spirit characteristics, notes of toasted almond and cherry pit with char and warmth. The younger components had complex notes of dark fruit, well developed and balanced spirit character with subtle notes of pumpernickel, cacao and blackberry. The result of their merging is a delightful blend of lively fruit and spirit flavors, with a smooth and structured mouthfeel, rounded out by layers of rich vanilla, cacao and roasted grain

Another overpriced 500ML bottle. I should start collecting them…oh wait, I do, sometimes, when I can’t help myself.

Jet black with an isolated, cratered island in the middle of the liquid. Smells vaguely fruity with booze prominent.

2023 - Gesha Coffee is all about the barrels. Bourbon hit up front with a rye backer, only then does the coffee make itself known in a dry, heady manner. The booze goes north to the top of the cranium, & does a few things inside of it, too. Touches of raisin, anise cloud all the better stuff. Bottle was a bit much to solo.

I wanted to like this more, but for me this is just pretty good, solid brew.

Pitch black oily body with a finger of dark brown foam that fades away. Aromas of bourbon and rye, backing, dark, cherry, raisin, almond, vanilla, chocolate fudge. Taste has marshmallow mixed into dark chocolate fudge, bourbon and rye come in warmly before cherry cola, raisin, and anise round out smoothly, all very complimentary. Feel is boozy and smooth, rye and wood emerge largely, malts are thick. Holy bleep this is fantastic! What cola bcbs wanted to be
