Cellared a year. Reddish brown opaque body with a tan head that settles into a collar slowly. Aromas of cognac over bourbon, with big barley, molasses, and toffee with an earthy backing. This actually uses both barrels pretty well, the Barley is very aggressive, almost has a rye edge to it. But not hot just sharp, drinkable with character for the mouthfeel. Both entries so far are bold in different ways, this one more barley forward

Enjoyed Blend #1 & this is the same thing (well, whisky vs. bourbon barrels, but heh) with the same ABV so, well, another entry? OK! 500ML bottle dated 3/6/24 on a rainy, cool August night. Feels great.

Muddy pour, just like #1 with a touch more visible life. Unlike is that the whisky is a bit more noticeable than the cognac. Port undetected.

#lifeunplugged (blend 2) is a big, fiery bitch. If I were in public, bad decisions would be as close as eight ounces away. Whisky is most prominent; earthy, an almost peaty, scotch-like experience, but gentler, which doesn’t make any sense. Slight smokiness that grows as the temp increases. Toffee. Booze. The Force. This should be served in buckets.

Strangely, slightly better than the first. Excellent & sad it’s gone.
