When we lay our stouts to rest in oak barrels, each one embarks on a unique journey of evolution. Atmospheric changes, time, and the structure of each barrel filled will all have distinct impacts on the final product, with each one adding to the subtle nuance that builds the larger whole. For this series, we select from our most distinguished casks the liquid that speaks the loudest and that we believe are best showcased to feature the unique flavors from each barrel without any additional adjuncts.
Blend of imperial stouts aged 4 years in Heaven Hill and 2 years in double oaked Jim Beam barrels.

Black opaque body, brown ring. Amazing bourbon barrels in the nose with the usual stout suspects however the molasses, char, and dark wood stand out, with the barrels hold tones of dark chocolate, almond, dark, cherry, slight tobacco, and malt. Taste comes in waves: the first wave is dark chocolate and cherry with supporting Sslight licorice and leather. The second is the barrels with a pronounced earthy in charge tone, blackstrap, molasses, and dark wood supporting. The final wave bears dark fruit, especially raisin, roasted malt, and tobacco. Feel is warm not hot but definitely on the warmer end, thick yet not too heavy, chewy

On draft at New Image - Wheat Ridge. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, tan head of foam. It left sticky rings on the glass. It smelled of bourbon, vanilla, oak, chocolate and toffee. Sweet chocolate and toffee taste with coffee, bourbon, vanilla, oak and charred.
