Barleywine aged 15 mo in Pedro Ximenez Sherry. Our single-malt, barleywine base, Intent, spent two years sequestered away in this PX sherry barrel, in that time taking on characteristics of both spirit and oak. Expect flavors of muscat grape, warming sherry, soft vanilla and subtle but substantial oak tannin. It’s beautifully structured showcasing characteristics of age and youth at the same time.

Matte black body, khaki head. The sherry barrel is big in the nose with grape must, dark fruits, and barley combining, but it is not sweet as the earthy tones and barrel are rugged. Taste has a smokiness to the toasty barrel, char for sure, barley and dark fruit sing on the palate through all of this, barley is the strong bass tone. This is a unique sipper, warm but not boozy, dry and rugged without being roasted, barley and barrel character is lovely and full
